Terms of Service

The terms that govern your use of Pan & Plates meal prep plans, shopping lists, macro plans and video masterclasses.

Last updated October 25, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a contract between you and Pan & Plates, Inc. (“Pan & Plates,” “we,” “us”), a Delaware corporation, and govern your use of panandplates.com, the Pan & Plates iOS and Android apps, and related services (the “Service”). Please read them carefully—they include a binding arbitration agreement and class-action waiver that affect your legal rights.

Acceptance of these Terms

By creating an account, starting a free trial, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, Subscription & Refund Policy, Cookie Policy, and Nutrition Disclaimer, which are part of these Terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Service.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. If you’re under the age of majority where you live, you confirm a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms. Family plan account holders may create up to six household profiles, including profiles for minors, and are responsible for those profiles and for all activity on the account.

You agree to provide accurate information, keep your password secure, and tell us promptly at support@panandplates.com if you suspect unauthorized access. Accounts are personal and may not be shared outside your household or resold.

The Service

Pan & Plates is a recipe planning platform for high-efficiency batch cooking, designed to help you prep five distinct weekday meals in under 60 minutes. Depending on your plan, the Service includes weekly five-meal menus, downloadable aisle-sorted shopping lists, macro-balanced nutrition plans, more than 60 video masterclasses, and a cook-along timer. We continually improve the Service and may add, change, or retire features. If we remove a core feature of your paid plan, we’ll give you reasonable notice.

Subscriptions, trials, and billing

Pan & Plates offers Starter, Pro, and Family plans billed monthly or annually. New members get a 7-day free trial with no card required to start; if you add a card, billing begins on day 8 unless you cancel first. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until canceled. You can cancel at any time in Account → Membership, and you’ll keep access until the end of the period you’ve paid for.

Monthly plans aren’t refunded for partial periods. Annual plans can be refunded in full within 14 days of purchase or renewal. EU and UK consumers also have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal. Purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play are billed and refunded by those stores. We’ll notify you at least 30 days before any price change. Full details are in our Subscription & Refund Policy.

Content license and acceptable use

Subject to these Terms and an active account, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use our recipes, videos, shopping lists, and other content for your own non-commercial use, including cooking for your household.

You agree not to:

  • Copy, redistribute, publish, sell, or sublicense our recipes, videos, shopping lists, or meal plans, including by posting them publicly or sharing them with people outside your household;
  • Use the Service for commercial meal-prep, catering, or resale;
  • Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to extract content, or use content to train machine-learning models;
  • Download or record videos except through features we provide;
  • Reverse engineer, interfere with, or circumvent security features of the Service;
  • Share login credentials or resell access; or
  • Use the Service to break the law or infringe anyone’s rights.

Your content

You may submit photos, comments, ratings, and other content (“User Content”). You keep ownership of your User Content. By submitting it, you grant Pan & Plates a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to host, display, reproduce, and adapt it in connection with operating and promoting the Service, and we’ll credit you when we feature it. You confirm you have the rights to what you submit and that it isn’t unlawful, misleading, or infringing. We may remove User Content at our discretion.

Health and nutrition disclaimer

Pan & Plates is a cooking and planning tool, not a medical service. Nutrition figures are estimates that can vary by 10–20%, allergy filters are not a guarantee against allergens, and results such as prep times are typical, not promised. Talk to a physician or registered dietitian before making significant dietary changes, especially if you’re pregnant or have diabetes, kidney disease, or a history of eating disorders. Please read the full Nutrition Disclaimer.

Third-party services and app stores

The Service relies on third parties such as payment processors and video providers, and may link to third-party sites or products. We aren’t responsible for third-party services, and your use of them is governed by their own terms.

If you download our app from the Apple App Store or Google Play, you acknowledge that these Terms are between you and Pan & Plates, not Apple or Google, and that Pan & Plates—not the store—is responsible for the app and its support. Apple and Google have no obligation to provide maintenance or support, and Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms with the right to enforce them against you as they relate to the iOS app.

Intellectual property

The Service and all its content—including recipes, menus, videos, photos, text, software, and the Pan & Plates name and logo—are owned by Pan & Plates or its licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the license above, no rights are granted to you. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them freely without obligation to you. To report infringement, contact legal@panandplates.com.

Suspension and termination

You can stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these Terms, misuse the Service, fail to pay, or if required by law. Where reasonable, we’ll give notice and an opportunity to fix the issue. On termination, your license ends; sections that by their nature should survive (including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, and dispute resolution) will survive.

Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PAN & PLATES DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We don’t warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that nutrition data, allergen information, or results will be accurate or achieved. Some jurisdictions don’t allow these exclusions, so some may not apply to you.

Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PAN & PLATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE OR (B) $100. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for gross negligence, fraud, or death or personal injury caused by negligence where applicable.

Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Pan & Plates and its officers, employees, and agents from claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your User Content, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or of another person’s rights.

Dispute resolution and arbitration

Informal resolution. Before filing a claim, you and Pan & Plates agree to try to resolve the dispute informally. Send a written description to legal@panandplates.com (or we’ll contact you at your account email). If it isn’t resolved within 30 days, either party may begin arbitration.

Binding arbitration. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. Arbitration may take place by video or in your county of residence. Judgment on the award may be entered in any court with jurisdiction.

Small claims. Either party may instead bring an individual claim in small-claims court if it qualifies.

Class-action waiver. Disputes will be resolved only on an individual basis. You and Pan & Plates waive any right to bring or participate in a class, collective, or representative action or class arbitration.

Opt-out. You can opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing legal@panandplates.com within 30 days of first accepting these Terms, including your name, account email, and a clear statement that you opt out.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and by the Federal Arbitration Act for the arbitration agreement. For any claim not subject to arbitration, you and Pan & Plates consent to the state and federal courts in San Francisco County, California. If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you also keep the protection of mandatory laws of your country of residence.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we’ll notify you by email or in the app at least 30 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that date means you accept the updated Terms; if you don’t, you may cancel before they take effect.
